Dr. Lober

Clifford W. Lober, M.D., certified by the American Board of Dermatology, has been practicing for over 40 years. He has been president of the Florida Society of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery (twice), president of the Florida Society of Dermatologic Surgeons, president of the Central Florida Society of Dermatology, and has served on the Board of Directors of the American Academy of Dermatology and the Board of Governors of the Florida Medical Association. Dr. Lober has received both the "Practitioner of the Year" award and the "Distinguished Service Award" from the Florida Society of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery, the "Surgeon of the Year" award from the Florida Society of Dermatologic Surgeons, and seven presidential citations from the American Academy of Dermatology. He is an Associate Professor of Dermatology at the University of Central Florida and an Affiliate Associate Professor of Medicine in the Department of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery at the University of South Florida. Most recently, Dr. Lober was selected in 2019 by the Board of Directors of the American Academy of Dermatology as one of five physicians in the nation to receive honorary membership.

Admitted without graduating high school, Dr. Lober received his undergraduate education at Columbia University where he was a Fackenthal Scholar. He subsequently was admitted to Duke University School of Medicine without graduating from college and awarded a 4-year full-tuition scholarship. After receiving his M.D. from Duke University School of Medicine, Dr. Lober trained in internal medicine at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota and in dermatology at the University of Tennessee. He was also a commissioned officer in the U.S. Public Health Service.

Married to his wife for 50 years, Dr. Lober and his wife have two sons. Dr. Lober loves his dogs and readily admits to “spoiling” them daily. He relaxes by exercising on his treadmill, walking, and swimming.
